The Red Cross: now with Peyton Manning and semi-intimate touching of co-workers!

Did I tell ya about the time I ripped a guy's pants? No? On Tuesday, I had to go to CPR training at work and we had to do a few things that someone could sue for sexual harassment over together. So it's the very first thing we do as partners, mine is lying face-down on the floor and I have to roll him over by grabbing his hip (& supporting the neck w/the other hand), and I decide, since I'm not attracted to this guy, and because he's young, thin, and white I don't want to give him the wrong impression by molesting him, that I'm going to grab his jeans' most convenient belt loop instead of his body. Should be fine, yeah? Try yanking on your belt loop. Nothing, right? Well, I used a slight amount of force and the dude's belt loop came free. I felt like a bodice-ripper or something.

...And then we had to spend another half hour or so touching each other's hips/thighs, stomachs, arms and being quite invasive of personal space. His breath smelled like dinner (Italian). I luckily had cinnamon gum in my mouth.

ROTFL! XD

Why [livejournal.com profile] rosephile, I had no idea.
On the upside, I suppose if you’d have died from embarrassment in a CPR training session someone would’ve been able to revive you.

That’s such a bizarre combo of things to learn together. Here’s how to save someone’s life. Here’s how not to be inappropriately sexing someone up. What were they thinking? In case someone suddenly bites the dust by biting off more than they can chew (remedy with CPR training), too many might want a hot date with a cold body (remedy with sexual harassment prevention info)? *facepalm*

Oo, I like the buckskins. ;)

Yeah, I think there was a lot more hands-on than in previous years. Are you thinking this was our seminar on sexual harassment too (haha, oh, would that be bad!)?! No, it was just CPR training.

Okay, you need to make sure to give me a detailed post/e-mail about *that*!

haha. it'll be in my NY summary post! it's nothing terribly juicy but it was quite random and unexpected and cute nonetheless!

Commenting per profile requirements. Not big on Packers, but this post was amusing.

Now, back to surfing (I do that a lot).

Ha, thanks. (I forgot it was public! I'm hardly "all-Packers" on my journal, believe it or not.)

Oh, and re: John Edwards, I'm...not likely to actually choose until Tuesday. I'm hoping someone will have a HUGE lead in the polls so I can vote for anyone, guilt-free (right now that'd mean Edwards).

Last time I was all for Kucinich...this time I'm all Edwards, although my dream ticket would involve Graves as VP

[identity profile] rosephile.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Kucinich is pretty awesome but damn, does he never have a chance here. Europe, sure, but not in our half-redneck/macho/irrational country. I voted for Edwards in the last (my first!) primary (in CA)...
Graves? I know about Gravel, but who's Graves?

[identity profile] sageincave.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Whoops! I meant Gravel, the Senator from Alaska. I guess he's not in his grave yet!

Ah, good. ;)
