Warped Tour: Specifics? I don't have 'em!
Last week I went without much of a plan to the Warped Tour. The only band I knew I'd liked from a years-back Warped Tour was Less Than Jake, and I missed them because they played at 1:15 (I got there around 2)--the schedule wasn't up online.

The first band playing on the first stage (nearest the entrance) was Teenage Bottlerocket, and I liked them at least a bit, as I took a couple pics.

Then there was Sleeper Agent, which I also liked.

After We the Kings (no pics but I was chilling in the shade and could only hear, not see) there was The Summer Set. I can't remember which of these two I preferred/which one I only liked most of the set but not all:

In between bands I liked, I heard a bit of Four Year Strong and Of Mice and Men, the latter of which I was curious about based on the number of people, esp. girls, wearing their shirts [rather than their name (or happening to walk by) like most of the bands I checked out], which were both more on the metal (aka screaming monster voice bands aka NOT FOR ME) side. Also a teeny bit of Anberlin, who seemed like a Christian rock band.
Then part of Echosmith, which, omg, I'd heard a song of theirs before ("Cool Kids"). They thanked Cities 97 for playing it.

The Ready Set was on after Echosmith, and came out with masks on.

Cute Is What We Aim For might have been my favorites of the day, I was disappointed their merch tent didn't have music for sale.

Then a bit of The Story So Far...

And finally, back to the stage by the entrance for the Aussie band I'd heard a sample of at their merch tent earlier, The City Shakeup. Being a smaller stage and "late" (8:10) set time, I got much better pics. Was pleased my impulsive buy earlier was a good one, as I liked these guys. They did do a little of the screamy monster voice, but not enough to chase me off. Plus, a nice full of <3s rant about the meaning of punk had me charmed.

"Silence" by The City Shakeup. (lmk if you want more)
