The TBS commercials for Lord of the Rings....um, has anyone else seen them? They're on crack. There's like a slashy music video of Frodo and Sam, a rap-like bizarre thing with Gandalf, a teenage-y thing about how it sucks to be Frodo, and probably other such travesties. I watched some of Fellowship tonight on there and each time I saw one of these, I had to sit here in a perpetually nonplussed state--the Gandalf one actually made me say "what the hell...?" and then "what the fuck!?!" out loud. So, they're showing The Two Towers tomorrow night. Watch for the crack commercials.

BTW, since I don't have a LotR icon, I figure this is the closest, as the Fellowship works together (for the most part).

Oh, they are showing The Two Towers here, too - on Sunday though. But I won't watch it, as I couldn't stand having the commercials during that movie.

They do seem to put commercials at the strangest times! At least TBS let the movie go a loooong time between commercial breaks, and just had extra-long commercial breaks.

My friend was talking about commercials and she said I was going to love this and talked about the Frodo one. I love how everyone assumes I've seen LotR even though it feels like I have but haven't really. I guess that's why no ones has found me out yet. But yeah, the Gandalf one was WTF?!

I liked the Matrix ones better just because everyone knows Neo's clueless to beign with. :D

Haha. Until actually *seeing* The Matrix, my sis and I had no idea what the hell it was about from seeing the commercials, we just knew it as the "whoa!" movie and made fun of it a lot--'cause Neo's "whoa" was a prominant part of the commercial.
